Historically, thousands of sockeye salmon would make the 900-mile journey to spawn in the Sawtooth Valley. Today, thanks to conservation efforts, the lake is stocked with sockeye salmon, and you might also spot bull trout, steelhead, and Chinook salmon in the area.
