Southwestern Idaho

3      Boise Birding: Beginner to expert birders welcome to this free class. The first hour will be a birding presentation by Terry Rich followed by the options to go birding. Binoculars available to borrow. Pre-registration is required. 9 – 10 AM. Foothills Learning Center; 3188 Sunset Peak Rd, Boise

3-4   Spring Craft Fair:  Lakeview Park, Nampa

4     Girls Day Out: Grab your mom, daughters, friends and coworkers, and join us for this day dedicated to women!  You’ll enjoy a unique, intimate and festive shopping experience. 10 AM – 5 PM. North Building, Expo Idaho, Garden City

4     Depot & Interpretive Center Open House: 12:00 PM, Caldwell

4     Family Camping Basics (all ages): Gain skills and confidence to take the whole family overnight camping this summer. Topics and activities will be tailored so that all ages can participate. Learn the gear, meals, and etiquette that will keep you safe, comfy, and enjoying the outdoors. $10/person. 10 AM – Noon.   Jim Hall Foothills Learning (3188 N Sunset Peak Rd,) Boise

7     Kilroy Coffee Klatch: Meets at 10 AM the first Tuesday of every month and is FREE to any and all veterans!  Coffee and breakfast treats.  The general public is welcome, but admission rates do apply. Warhawk Air Museum, Nampa

11   Grow Together Gardening: Spend a morning in our garden this spring exploring the natural world with your little ones (ages 2-4). Instructors will facilitate activities and garden tasks that will have you and your child working and learning together. Southern Idaho

11   Star Party: This free monthly event takes place at the CSI Centennial Observatory (Weather Permitting).  Observers will see a waning Gibbous (55%) moon, double stars, and star clusters.  9 – 11 PM, Centennial Observatory, CSI Campus, Twin Falls

3-4   Chicken-Lasagna Dinner/Fundraiser: $17 per person.  Funds go to a scholarship and the Senior Pantry.  Doors open at 5:45 PM.  Senior Center, Buhl

18   International Astronomy Day: Solar Viewing. Safely view sunspots and the solar atmosphere through special filtered telescopes. Bright stars and planets visible in the 24” telescope. 11 AM – 4 PM, FREE. Centennial Observatory, CSI, Twin Falls

Eastern Idaho

2-4 Vintage Market Days: Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds, Blackfoot

3-4 SE Idaho Days: Bring the family to SRD’s SE Idaho Days! Parade, Car Show, Bounce Houses, Live Bands on Friday night, Horse Drawn Wagon Ride, Power Wheels Races. Bannock County Event Center, Pocatello

5-26  Flat Track Horse Races: SUNDAYS. Pocatello Downs, Pocatello

10-11 Disney’s “101 Dalmatians KIDS”: A delightful adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney’s outrageous villain, and 101 adorable Dalmatian heroes. 12   Mother’s Day at the Zoo: All day, Zoo Idaho, Pocatello

17   Endangered Species Day at the Zoo: 10 AM – 2 PM, Zoo Idaho, Pocatello

17-18 Monster Truck Insanity: Trucks compete in Insanity Style Skills Shootout, heads up Battle Bracket style racing, and insane high flying. Sandy Downs, Idaho Falls

18   Family Birding Festival: This festival is ideal for those interested in bird watching, but who not sure where to begin, or for more experienced birders looking for a few tips. Topics include basic bird identification, favorite field guides, how to choose your optics, and where and when to find birds. The entire festival is an activity designed as a treat for families. Zero cost and maximum fun!  Our local guides will share their expertise with children of all ages.  American Falls              

27   Swan Lake SummerFest: Celebrate the coming of summer with live music by area folk musicians. Vendors and food trucks. 1 – 7 PM, Thomas Mercantile, Swan Lake
